After a long and arduous journey, the Blues have won acceptance to compete in CFA show rings, within the Silver and Golden Persian Division, commencing with the 2009-2010 show season. Congratulations to all of the breeders that worked so hard to establish a standard approved by the Silver and Golden Breed Council and CFA.

On December 11. 2011 at the Dixieland Silver and Golden Fancier's show, GC Castlegate Blue Falcon at eight months of age became a one show Grand Champion and the first Blue Golden Persian to acheive the title in CFA.
The CFA Standards for each of the four newly approved colors are as follows:
BLUE CHINCHILLA SILVER PERSIAN
Undercoat pure white. Coat on back, flanks, head, and tail sufficiently tipped with blue to give a sparkling appearance. Legs may be slightly shaded with tipping. Chin, ear tufts, stomach, and chest, pure white. Rims of eyes, lips, and nose outlined with blue. Nose leather: rose. Paw pads: blue or rose. Eye color: green or blue-green. Disqualify for incorrect eye color, incorrect eye color being copper, yellow, gold, amber, or any color other than green or blue-green. The Color Number for males is 0128 and for females 0129.

BLUE SHADED SILVER PERSIAN:
Undercoat white with a mantle of blue tipping shading down from the sides, face, and tail from dark on the ridge to white on the chin, chest, stomach, and under the tail. Legs to be the same tone as the face. The general effect to be much darker than a chinchilla. Rims of eyes, lips, and nose outlined with blue. Nose leather: rose. Paw pads: blue or rose. Eye color: green or blue-green. Disqualify for incorrect eye color, incorrect eye colorbeing copper, yellow, gold, amber, or any color other than green or blue-green. The Color Number for males is 0156 and for females 0157.

BLUE CHINCHILLA GOLDEN PERSIAN:
Undercoat ivory to pale honey. Coat on back, flanks, head, and tail sufficiently tipped with blue to enhance a golden appearance. Legs and end of tail may be shaded with tipping. Chin, ear tufts, stomach, chest and underside of tail, consistent ivory to pale honey color. The general effect is lighter than a blue shaded golden due to less tipping. Rims of eyes, lips, and nose outlined with blue. Nose leather: rose. Paw pads: blue or rose. Eye color: green or blue-green. Disqualify for incorrect eye color, incorrect eye color being copper, yellow, gold, amber, or any color other than green or blue-green. The Color Number for males is 1074 and for females 1075.

Note about The GCCF and Blue Chinchilla and Blue Shaded (Silver & Gold) Persians: submitted by Carole Gainsbury of Great Britain of Caszan Persians: The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) in the UK at the moment does not recognise the blue Golden or Blue Silvers, however, they are discussing it in January 2012 and it should go through without any problems this time and hopefully we all will be able to show and make them up the champions and grand champions or even Olympians from June 2012 if all goes well. CH Caszan Blue Thunder made champion in the Fédération Internationale Féline (FIFe) shows and he became best Persian twice in two FIFe shows.

Wyndcreste Silver Persians has not been blessed with any Blue Silver or Blue Golden Persians to date, but may in the future--stay-tuned!
