Breeder/Owner: Joy Anandi

Joy Anandi was thrilled at the opportunity to breed one of her first silvers GC Exton All American Girl of Joyvyn to CH Oakview Voyager of Psilocybin, as she loved the look of GC Oakview Cotton Candy of Exton. On August 16, 1982, GC Joyvyn Purrfect Sirprize, DM, and his litter sister GC Joyvyn Rebecca were born in Joy’s first litter of silvers. When he opened his eyes Joy knew he was something special and was such a perfect surprise to her that she named him so. Sirprize as Joy called him, became the foundation of the Joyvyn line and produced 16 Grand Champions, before he died at age six, in the arms of a dear friend of Joy’s. Joy and her friend were understandably devastated, but comforted each other throughout tragic event. In his honor, Joy set out to grand as many offspring of his as she could.

Sirprize granded at age three weighing a hefty 12 pounds. As a mature adult, he did not really enjoy the shows, as he preferred being at home wooing and charming the girls and that he did extremely well. Joy describes him as prepotent as she often found a Sirprize “clone” in every litter and even today can see his “look” in lines that are descended him. Sirprize passed on his outstanding head type, low ears, short nose and well-balanced, heavily boned body. He also passed on his sweet temperament. He loved to have his belly scratched and loved to wrap his forepaws around Joy’s neck in a big hug.
